My name is Sophia Huang, I am the Founder and Principal Designer at Sophia Huang Design.

I've always believed that the spaces we create shape the way we live, feel, and connect.

Long before founding SHD, I found inspiration everywhere—from architecture and interiors to travel, fashion, and art. Over time, I realized they all shared one thing in common: the ability to influence how we experience everyday life. Whether it was a beautifully designed boutique hotel, a quiet neighborhood café, or the way natural light transformed a room, I was always drawn to the details that made a place feel memorable. That curiosity continues to guide every project I take on today.

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, and raised in Southern California, growing up between two cultures gave me an appreciation for different lifestyles, perspectives, and ways of experiencing the world. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from California State University, Long Beach, I spent over six years refining my craft across residential, commercial, and hospitality projects before founding my own studio.

Today, I personally lead every project from concept through completion, working closely with each client to create spaces that are timeless, functional, and deeply personal. I believe the best design comes from thoughtful collaboration, clear communication, and a genuine understanding of the people each space is designed to serve.
